Vectron
You have to click POWER to switch between letters and numbers/symbols.
If they used _my_ version of the manual (see below), you wouldn't be
confused.
Programming & Displaying Messages
When the Blackhawk is spinning, a strip of LEDs on the ring displays status
information, such as STAND CLEAR and AUTO ON. When there's no need to
display status, VECTRON appears instead.
You can replace VECTRON with messages of your own. The controller can store
four user-written messages, of up to 30 characters each. The messages are
held in the controller's memory, even when the controller isn't connected to
the power supply.
Important Although the Blackhawk doesn't fly in Program mode, the ring's
rotation still must be synchronized with the controller. If the controller
isn't pointed at the Blackhawk, sync is lost and the unit shuts down.
To program a message.
1. Turn on the controller and point it at the Blackhawk.
2. Press the MODE button twice.
The PROG LED lights.
3. Press START/STOP.
When the Blackhawk comes up to speed, a green cursor appears at the bottom
of the ring.
4. Click the POWER joystick to select the letters group of characters
or the numbers/symbols group of characters.
5. Push the VECTOR joystick forward or backward to display the
character you want.
6. Click the VECTOR joystick to add that character.
The cursor moves to the next position.
If the message is too far to the right or left to read easily, press MESSAGE
SELECT to move it to the left, DISPLAY SELECT to move it to the right.
7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to add additional characters.
To change a character, push the VECTOR joystick left or right to move the
cursor to the character you want to change. Then follow steps 4 through 6 to
select a different character.
To insert a space at the cursor position, push the POWER joystick forward.
To insert a character, insert a space, then change that space to the
character you want.
To remove the space or character at the cursor position, pull the POWER
joystick backward.
8. To add another message, press MODE to select an unused memory, then
repeat steps 4 through 7.
9. When you've finished adding or editing messages, press START/STOP.
The display shows SAVING and the unit shuts down.
To modify a stored message, select PROGRAM mode and press MODE to display
the message. Use the controls as described in steps 4 through 7 to edit the
message, then press START/STOP.
TURBO operation can be selected in PROGRAM mode, but it has no effect.
